Ran the car at the track tonight on street tune (low boost) 675 hp

I Left the line at 1500rpms like I normally do at a stop light and waited for about 15 ft before I mashed it. I was also granny shifting it. I wanted to make sure the clutch was holding

Didn't get a good ET but mph was STRONG.

60' - 2.2
1/4 Et - 11.3
1/4 mph - 137.3

Will post picture of slip later, they wrote on it bitching about cage

Tried to run car a second time and try to launch the car but it ended up spinning first, then clutch started slipping Guess its time to start looking for a new clutch or a auto swap

With the additional 100hp I have available I should trap 140+ no problem with new clutch

Don't give into the auto just yet! Just get you a good clutch, slicks and hold on and grab gears! What was your 1/7 mph?

I was on a local airfield the other week.

Did 11.47 at 143mph with similar 2.2s 60fts.

Simply no traction at all through 1st and 2nd. Still good fun though.

The difference between a proper track and tarmac is huge though !! I tried MT ET Streets and MT DR's at the airfield, and the DR's were consistently 0.2-0.3s better on the ET, even though 60fts were similarly bad.
mph on DR's was also up some 5mph.

Hopefully can try again next weekend with some new Hoosier DR's

Cant imagine it ever doing a 10 on that surface though.

Don't have $ for auto swap so I'm just going to get a new clutch when I can and try and go low 10's

Here is my previous best time slip before heads and cam......guess it was around 630 rwhp with inlet hat and filter on

137 mph is making good steam at that weight. Mine weighed 3810# with a 6pt Wolfe c/m cage, next on your list if you like going to the track.

Damn good mph! I agree with the other guy, since your already setup try and see what the 6speed will do with a stronger clutch

Not really sure yet. Most likely a Textralia Z-grip HD, Textralia twin disk, or a Monster

Most likely a twin disk though (I like to drive my car hard)

The Spec twin disc have proven themselves too, you might look into them. Bob

first off no i dont know how old this thread is...yeti.....but how can you say the screen is a restriction in comparison to that big *** filter and elbow that is usually on it.....he removed it and put on a screen thats barely even there....what im saying is...there is far FAAAR less restriction going on there. think about it and come back to us momentarily....and all shall be forgiven.
