Arrow FI Guys: When does your track re-open for 2004?

This is so we can figure out when it is fair to restart the Boosted List for 2004.

I would like to get input from as many of the following listed guys as possible (don't require all, just a reasonable sampling). Then, we will get an opinion and come to a consensus on when the 2004 list can start. I can let the 2003 List hang out concurrently until everyone gets a chance to make their run or a predetermined time period after the tracks open for sure.

OK. I've called two quarter-mile tracks (voice message). One says they are open Sunday afternoon only (even now), weather permitting. The other says they will re-open in February. The 8th-Mile track says they will re-open in March.

I know the tracks up North are bound to be closed the longest, right?

Does March or April sound OK to start the 2004 Boosted List, and let the 2003 List hang around as a sticky until, say, May? For that matter, we COULD start the 2004 List anytime, as long as the guys that can't run yet keep their props on the 2003 List.

This is a chance for a 12.x FI car to be #1, right?! Just kidding.

Let's discuss...

It's NED for me and they will not open until April 1st (no kidding) and as I recall last year they did not open until the middle of the month due to the late snow we had. LVD probably opens a little earlier but is 2 hours away (and is a much slower track) and I'm sure E-Town opens much sooner but is still a 5 hour drive..... Man I hate the freaking winter!!!

I agree, make it start 1/1/04. Keep the old list so that people can see who ranked high in '03. They'll make it back to the top as tracks open.

I say keep the 03 list up until May-June. But start the new list now. No need to keep the guys who can run year round waiting. Us guys in the North will pass them soon enough.

It looks like the first day for NED will be Friday, April 2nd (http://www.newenglanddragway.com/schedule/index.shtml). I think Atco only closes for a few weeks in December/January? The last time I raced there they had ice in the burnout area.

It seems like we are building a consensus to start the 2004 Boosted List now and sticky the 2003 Boosted List for a while.

Do we also go back and put everyone that was on the 2003 List back on it, since this list is now a "Hall of Fame" piece, so to speak? It seems fair that those who made the list in 2003 should be memoralized in it. It would also be informative to see where all the cars ended up placing. Any "broke" cars that ranked would take their place in the rankings.

(I still intend to require that "current year" Boosted list be current-running street cars. But, putting cars back in at year's end to commemorate their achievement during the year makes sense to me.) Also, I will keep the 2003 Boosted List up the entire year, as a comparison factor of how things shift. I'll just make them two links in the same sticky post.

Post your 2004 ET in the new Boosted Sticky. The first two cars that report a valid ET/Info, I will generate a 2004 Boosted List. (A list of one is no list.)

Chicago tracks reopen in March but realistically we don't get to run until April.
