Ok. It's good for everyone to have their own options but let's try to keep this one on topic. I talked to the guys at Magnuson and was told that they tried to produce one for the f-body before but they just couldn't get it under the cowl. The wipers would have to come out, the cowl area cut and possibly even modifications to the windsheild would be required. They tried to design the system so it would sit lower but that caused a restriction in the intake which isn't good.
If there is alot of interest in an f-body kit they MIGHT consider trying it again. The demand would have to be great enough to support all of the R&D that would go into this.
So tell me how good you would feel about having a Magnuson on your f-body!

I am in count me in the petition. From an installing point of view how you would get to the back bolts? I think you would have to pull the engine, mount it on the intake and then drop it back in.

I've installed a few Radix kit's on trucks and can say there is NO WAY this setup will fit on our cars!!There is just no room for it,even without the heat exchanger..So,why put out a petition??This leaves the F-body crowd to Nitrous,Turbo's and Centrifical superchargers..

All I am asking for is your interest. If you or someone you know would like a viable alternative to the current power adders then show your interest or pass this thread along to them.

I contacted Magnacharger and gave them a link to this thread. Their Engineering department gave me a nice response and said that they do have plans in the next month to start looking into designing an f-body kit. I suggested a side mounted kit to ease installation room, but they said they will investigate a custom intake replacement kit first.
So, we might just see one for our f-bodies.

Definately interested in this type of unit. This is the ONLY way that I will go with forced induction on my car. A unit small enough to use on stock internal motors reliably would be nice....this would be a great type of FI for a daily driver type of car....approx 7 lbs of boost.

The reason I've always preferred a Magnacharger system is day to day reliability along with almost no parasitic loss when cruising. If they make a kit it will be a home run because people wanting OEM quality avoid ATI/Vortech.

I would be in on this one also. I spent time researhing this same issue shortly after I purchased my TA. I ended up putting in a cam and headers for now. It helps but it is still not what I want. I have read to many strories about the other style superchargers faling in a short amount of time. I know that all of them do not do this, just to many for me to be comfortable going this route at this time.
So please do make a Magncharger system for our F-Body cars. I would be happy even if the intake did have some restrictions, just so it gave me gobs of stump pulling torque before 5,500 RPM and had the reliablilty of thier other systems.

I'm interested.
If possible I'd rather it NOT be a side mount.
I saw an ad in the May 2004 issue of "Super Rod" that Magnacharger has a kit avilable for " 4.8,5.3 and 6.0 truck and SUV,5.7 Camaro/Firebird and Corvette engines" The other engines listed are Gen III so you would assume they meant the LSx motors for the F-Bodies.
This is a half page add before the 533hp LS1 article.
I thought this was odd because I have heard of no one running them prior to reading this.
Anyway, if they make an intercooled version at a decent price I'm definitely buying one.
