OK, so I don't need to try to put that plastic disc on the 60s? Cause it looks like there's a lip there on the end of the injector about the right size for that disc to slide onto...

Default Finish up the tuning

Had the exact same problems with my car after putting the blower kit on. Would idle fine, but bucked and stuttered during low speed driving, sometimes even dieing. That bucking was caused by a lean condition.

The lean condition was fixed by bumping up the Injector Offset table. Ideally, this needs to match the injectors as close as possible. A small error in this table can cause big errors in low pulse width fueling. I run 60s as well and these numbers should get you started.

12V 0.790
13V 0.638
14V 0.502

Next is the O2 switchpoint settings. Tuning this table will bring the rich idle and cruise back up to where its supposed to be ~ 14.7.

Then get a wideband and do some logging. Log AFR and MAF freq. Recalibrate the MAF and VE tables. This will help so much with your part throttle driving. Blower ducting upsets a MAF and the factory calibration just won't work any longer. Hell, just a different intake can throw off a MAF calibration. Good Luck.

Thanks man. I wish I could look at these numbers, but I don't have HPT or any tuning software yet...just going off a base tune I got from Frost. Don't know if you can view my run file posted by ak95ta on the second page of this thread or not, but I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.

Me too. I know it's not going to be perfect, but I should at least be able to start it up, idle and drive it around without getting into WOT. And Steve already said he had gone back over it several times, so I have trust him on this one. Maybe it's the injectors, who knows...

You and me both. I really thought I had nailed it down with the O2s, but no dice. Steve @ Frost just emailed me again and is positive the lean condition is coming from a misfire, but I can't find it for the life of me. Hopefully I can try Kyle's injectors out and see if that's the problem.

Ya, the leaning out is the issue. What causing it is the problem. The injectors is the only thing that I could think of too. Atleast Kyle is willing to lend them to you to find out.

These issues with tuning up here is really causing me to second guess this build. Even though my issues have nothing to do with the Procharger, I think the lack of tuners up here presents a real problem, especially for FI. Seems like everyone tunes their own stuff, and with only one dyno (and you have to bring your own software to them to tune on it), options are expensive and limited.

I'm just frustrated and talking out of my ***, but wondering if I shouldn't just put this thing back the way it was...

This hobby poses alot of obstacles. Over coming them is more rewarding then the obstacle itself. I envey your build for the simple fact it is SIMPLE. Stock LS1 with bolt-on's and a Procharger. Just think after your done with everything, you'll be bored.

I don't know about that, LOL. There's always something that's "next".

I assure you Ive put more money and alot more time into my build and Im still hanging in there. Selling it is still a serious consideration for me though but Id like to get it running before that happens...

I forgot that Steve had sent me the "cfg" file for my tune. Would this contain the actual tune itself? I can post that if it will help...

No the config file wont, it just tells HP Tuners what to log and how to log it. I can come over there and pull your tune out, or Dustin can.
