On a side note I do have 1/2 in head studs

Rule of thumb is below 1000 stock heads and regular studs, above and you should do aftermarket thick deck heads and 1/2" studs over 1500 and its best to go to an rhs billet block or lsx block and 6 bolt heads. Im using the prc 227 with a half filled iron lm7 block and 1/2" studs and shooting for around 1200rwhp.
