Good point though, who has a turbo car that hasn't popped a boost pipe at some point LOL
It happened to me at Homestead raceway a couple weekends ago and I honestly thought that I lost the motor for second LOL

You are local to me we should hang bro PM me your number. I am planning a trip to Moroso soon.
PM sent. Look forward to meeting you and maybe checking the kit out in person.

I will admit i know nothing about turbo kits, so i have a few ?'s to ask. U say this kit is way better than aps (and it may be) but u never said what it is that actually makes it better? And unless im missing something which is def possible it is at least 3k more expensive? And it was said ur kit is way diff that ky turbos, what is different? I know its gotta cost out the butt to set up a new kit, but i dont see but maybe 5k tops in parts where is the other 5k coming in? I know most co charge this or more but never understood why. Its cool that some people dont blink at spending 10k (a whole other car) for a turbo kit but im way too broke for that! lol just seems like u could get a well built kit cheaper altho i havent really seen it. Procharger talks up using a2a, and u use a2w? Not tryin to be a but im trying to learn.

Well I'll point out a few problems APS owners have had to deal with.

1. Turbo failure
2. Being stuck with a proprietary turbo
3. Only one vendor that I'm aware of sells replacement turbos.
4. Flimsy intake ducting sucking shut
5. This was such a problem that BMR built a hybrid k-member to help guy's with this issue.
6. Intercooler in front of the condenser and radiator, this affects air flow to the cooling system and the radiant heat from the condenser and radiator does not help the intercooler.
7. After you buy the APS kit, you still have to buy a k-member.
8. Some APS owners have had issues with oil return to the point that some guys had to install oil return pumps.
So, let's take a look at all of this
1. You pay 6K for the APS kit
2. You spend another $600 on a k-member
3. Your turbos go out and you spend another $2,500 to fix that.
4. You buy another k-member $600 to fix the air intake duct system
5. You put an oil return pump on your car, because the system does not drain correctly
$250 for the pump and $100 for lines and fittings.
That's $10,050.00 and I did not include your time, oil changes, coolant, or anything else you had to buy because of this maintenance.
And on top of that, you're still stuck with a proprietary turbo charger.
Now, who's turbo kit is the better value?
My number may not be spot on to the penny, but I can promise you if any APS owner has been through what I just described and added up all of their receipts, they wouldn't be far from $10k.

2 x Turbonetics turbos $900 each
2 x TiAL wastegates $250 each
1 X Tial BOV $250

Thats $2550 in turbos, wastegates, and bov not to mention you get a K member and engine mounts.

I don’t mind the questions. I don’t think you are being a butt for asking.

As far as the intercooler system concerned A/A and A/W both have the benefits.
The A/A is simple as dirt it’s tough and it works.

The 4th gen F-body presents some unique challenges from a intercooling stand point.
A/W was IMO the best option.

It is often mistaken for race only application, that’s not true.
It is as good if not better system when properly engineered.

Now you and others have said they only see X#$$$ in parts and we are charging 10k
Call any turbo kit company and you will have to put up a deposit and you wait for your kit.

We have spent the money to stock every single part and have kits ready for shipment.
No man with half a brain will tie his money up and not expect so kind of return.
I still have to make a living, pay my shop for wear and tear and put money in the bank
for rainy days.

It is 8:00 CST and I am still on the job, I’m eating a boil of jumbo and drinking a beer but still on the job!!!

As far as comparing our kit to the KY turbos is concerned he is a vender here
and he has his way of doing things and we have ours and I will leave it at that.

This is for EVERYONE:

Like Chris, Rob, and I have all said multiple times. Comparing the Modular Turbo Twin Setup to one of my twin setups does not work. Yes the parts are similar. The prices are similar. The setups are worlds apart.

Modular Turbo is offering a Mail order Twin Turbo setup.
KY-Turbo Inc offers Mail order "One Off" setups.

Two different Sides of the Game.

The only thing that came come out of comparing two sponsors offerings is tension between the companies. Why doesn't everyone stop comparing the two, do your own research on the differences, and decide for yourself what fits your needs better and is a better value for you. I am sure this kit will be awesome and we already know Josh's offerings/customer service is top knotch, lets leave it at that.

Now I wish I had the money for either companies offerings. I will get my feet wet in FI with a supercharger set up and then call either of them up for my next project. I cant wait to see what this kit can do and hope Josh continues to have the success that he has. There is a lot to be said for what Josh has done in a business of many failures.

Hi all!!! Im new to LS1Tech...but would like to talk about Chris from CBR if yall would allow me to. I realize that few if any of yall know me, but Ive known Chris for something like 30yrs. Ive seen and raced against some of the cars hes built over the years....hes a GREAT fabricator and knows how to go fast. If hes anything like he used to be, then I know hes put ALOT of time, thought and research into this twin turbo setup that hes put together. I have no doubt that its a great setup, well thought out and will help you win at the track or on the street. I wish I had this kit in my Firebird. Chris, if you see this....CONGRATS on your success, Im proud to call ya a friend and wish you all the luck in the world with this and your future ventures. If I can get back home one day soon, would ya mind if I came by to see this kit in person in the car? ---Larry M.
