Default How much HP would it take to notice a difference?

For all you guys making around 800rwhp, what is the minimum amount of RWHP that would need to be added to notice any difference in performance? 20hp, 30hp, 40hp???

Thanks,

you'd be surprised how you notice little changes...even at the higher power levels.

Think it depends on the person, but I can feel almost every change in my car....I would say 20-30 hp is noticeable

Hard to tell at that level because you are hard pressed for traction. Unless you are at the track and then the et and or trap speed will let you know.

I'm saying a physical notice which is clear is 100+ hp.

I had a 1994 z24 cavalier as my first car with the v6, Maybe around 160hp?
When I got my lt1 I noticed the difference by quite a bit.

sorry didn't read the thread right. i wish i had 800hp

I can feel each degree of timing added. I run 17* base. And sometimes add 1 or 2 degrees depending on weather and how bad I need that extra 1/10 of a second

at 400hp in a V6 GN, I feel the weather. Humidity seems to make more of a difference than actual air temp. Then again, this is a turbo car in a much smaller engine.

Hope to find out this season. Previously just been running 7.5psi maybe 600 or so rwhp,no spray yet. But this season will be running up to maybe 20psi with upgrade turbos and likely getting spray operational at 75 to 125 shot range.Should be fun.
Also implementing traction strategies..have et street radials on order for serious play and going to try ramping in boost by rpm, time and gear. Also might try to use my auto torque management for traction control have no factory traction control or might buy this pricey but interesting variable traction control system made by racelogic.

Also as said timing can make a pretty big diff in power on an fi car. So also adding alc injection this season so can up my timing some.
