Cranks pretty sure have gone 1000engine hp maybe 1000rwhp. I would for sure do pistons and rods ,rod bolts too .I would think for sure stock stuff is ok for 500rwhp maybe up to 600rwhp. Stock pistons would think are fragile if 6.0 use same pistons as regular ls1 engines. I got my 408 with callies crank, callies rods, wiseco pistons. Arp main studs, rod bolts and head studs but I planned on up to 1000rwhp in my build.

For what it's worth, my engine builder uses Eagle rods exclusively, but you should probably research. In addition to rods, I'd add a hellfire ring pack and ARP head bolts.

Depends on how much boost you want to throw at it. My suggestions:

Stock crank
Diamond pistons....8.5 to 9.0:1 range
Oliver rods

Now, some will say that the Oliver rods will be over-kill (depending on what power level you're shooting for) and expensive ($1100)...but you get what you pay for. If you're thinking of long-term reliablility, I personally would not touch Eagle products.

As always, just my $0.02...which is worth what ya paid for it :-)

you'll be fine on stock stuff. Put rod bolts and new oil pump in it and call it good. Look up 98z28cobrakiller, he went 9s in an fbody on a LQ9 with a pt88

Well now he went 8s but his whole bottom end is forged including the crank, he also stayed with 370 cubes.

Id stay stock crank, weisco pistons, 9.0:1, and callies compstar rods, arp head studs, new bearings and gaskets and run the boost in the 12-16 psi range, easily reach the HP range your after.

yeah, but the OP is only looking for 650-700. Stock internals will be fine. If he blows it up, then he can consider doing 370 setup, but at this point I dont think theres any need for it.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to blow it up. And 700hp is safe on stock internal?(Except Crank)

Cobrakiller is running a STOCK crank. He is however using forged pistons and rods. He isnt using anything special really but has turned out some impressive results. To the OP, you would be more than ok with the stock crank, forged rods and pistons. Cobrakiller even used the stock pump and timing chain.

in his post he said he is looking at doing forged rods/pistons anyhow.

If he runs it bone stock internals for a while, than he can enjoy the car while he collects stuff for a forged bottom end. Just my opinion though. If it does blow up, whats going to go? Theres going to be a hole in the piston which would be replaced anyways and the block bored out so I dont think it would matter much.
