i just purchased a vortech v9 g trim kit for my car. I'm trying to figure out what pulleys to run to achieve the maximum rpms on the headunit. I'll be shifting at ~6,500rpms

i have the exact kit that you are talking about and to be honest, i cant imagine shifting at 6500k rpms.
my limiter is still at 6k which seems like enough.
im running the 2.75 pulley seeing 8-10 pounds of boost.
hope that gives you some insight.

ok, i just did the math. you were using a 2.65 and a 2.5 pulley?
2.65" = 66,410
2.5" = 70,400
this is assuming a 3.61 step up ratio for the v9 g trim from what i have read.
They say the max rpm for that headunit is 52,000. How the hell didn't you blow it apart? Did it really last that long at that rpm? I read that the peak effeciency for the blower is at 48,000rpm. With the math that means I should be using a 3.5" pulley. I would really appreciate your input on this as I am about to order the last remaining things for install.
Also, if anyone has the ati damper I need to install the v9 kit please let me know.

Yeah I had a set of TEA 317's flowed 318cfm on the intake if I remember correctly. 224/230 114 cam and Jet hot 13/4" headers made @9lbs in summer and 12 in winter with the 2.65" pulley. I don't remember what boost it made with the 2.5" pulley 12lbs??? I think. And I never had any issues with the blower. I think your math is off cause I was just barely overspinning the blowe with the 2.65" pulley up top and a little more with the 2.5".Call Vortech and ask them about the RPMs etc... Vortech has a specific number for there version of the ATI balancer, but I think you could get away with the standard one and vortechs drive pulley. GL!

are you guys sure about the 65,000 rpm max? I called vortech earlier and they told me it was 52,000. as far as I can tell, all of my math is correct unless I have the wrong size crank pulley. Anyone know what size the crank pulley is that comes with the kit?

ok, i have a couple more questions for you guys. at what rpm are you starting to see boost? are you running a sd tune, and if so what did you put in place of the maf in the intake tract? and what size belt are you running with the 2.65 pulley? i think that is the one I'm gonna go with.
