so im toying with the idea of ditching the F1A and going to some kind of turbo setup. the main reason is I like my car in street trim but its really heavy and its going to hold me back at the track. So the only other thing I can do is add some power and im pretty much maxxed out with the F1A. Im sure I could get a good dollar for my blower as its virtually brand new. id like to hear some opinions on driveability of a big turbo or twins and also what would be my best option for a setup? Id like to be around 1000 rwhp or more to justify the switch.

how will they be on the street? what kind of lag and how much money for the turbo and related parts approx? I will most likely keep my intercooler setup so I think I just need the turbo, blowoff valve and manifolds. I will likely handle the fab work myself

id like to be able to make an easy 1000 + rwhp if I change my setup and I dont know if a head unit change will get me there. not to mention it seems like a lot of headaches to get the monster headunits in there and a belt to stay on them, also the noise starts getting a little out of hand with the bigger ones. im around 829rwhp

as low as possible. LOL ive only done 1/8 with it, went 6.4x/108 with all my amps and sub box, tools and **** in there so i can drop a few pounds getting that stuff out, also its still pig rich so I know theres more in it. I guess for this year mid to high 9s would be cool but ultimate goals would be an 8 second slip. im still almost entirely stock suspension and my cage is going in very soon

im also running a 3.5 gear right now, i might have room to go to a 3.7 and not run of gear up top. the math says i can go 151 at 7000rpm and I lock my converter in 3rd so i shouldent have much slip

Im not expert here but if your having belt issues why not look into a cog drive? Also what is your suspension consist of? I saw stock suspension but is it after market stuff? I would think that power you currently have with some weight loss should net you that mid 9 second slip?

How much boost are you running? Would seem that you should be able to get more than 829 from F1A. I would spend a little more time optimizing your current set-up before giving up on the F1A. May not get 1000 but I bet you can get closer than you are.

if it was me , i would save my money from switching to turbo, and work on getting your suspension dialed in and fine tuning your tune and u should be low 9's , and get some weight out of that thing, aftermarket tubular suspension if still on stock

sorry you misunderstood the belt slip thing, i currently have 0 issues with belt slip with the sdce setup. can I keep that with the f1r/c/f2? I dont want a cog setup, seen to many issues with it damaging cranks, bearings and blowers. as far as suspension I only have LCAs adjustable TA and aftermarket panhard bar. I know theres more on the table with a real exhaust system and cutting weight. Im pretty much at my limit for how fast I can spin the blower. Im around 16psi

sorry to say I dont know for sure yet, on the list of things to do but between the blower and related items, sub frame connectors stereo system and the crap I carry ill bet its pushing 4k
