I'd go with the F-1A, the D-1SC would have to work really hard on a 402. We had a T/A in the old shop with a 408 and a D-1SC, we maxed the blower out and it made 16 psi. The inlet air temps with an F-1A are going to be lower at 16 psi than a maxed out D-1SC. My Z28 had an F-1A with a 408 and we were seeing 19 to 20 psi of boost. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks. Bob

A centrifugal SC has a linear progressive boost curve. It would have full boost at or near redline unless it runs out of steam earlier.

Take a look at the above dyno sheet, the engine is an LS2 with a 4.00 crank so it is a 402. The 232/240 595/608 on a 115 lsa, and AFR 225 untouched heads. FAST 92 intake and an F-1A at only 12.5 psi of boost. What would it make if we cranked the boost up to 18 to 20 psi? I'd only be guessing with all the variables that have to be taken into account.

Red line is horsepower.
Blue line is torque.
Boost is green.
AFR is black. Bob

Bob:

Any way you could put together a front mount I/C as an option? Would you recommend using the twins with a F1A or going up front?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I'm not currently offering the front mount as an option. We've used the twins at 16 psi with methanol injection on a road course Corvette, without any problems. A front mount is going to be better in the long run though.

Thanks. Bob
