I reached one of my goals tonight.
I have three goals for my car, 800+ rwhp, 9.99 E.T. or better and 140+ trap speed. I made three passes tonight. My previous best run was a 10.23@136.26 (1.69, 60') 3975 lbs. I thought I would be able to hook with 275/50/15 MT drag radials but it doesn't seem to be the case at my local track. I kept dropping tire pressure and got down to 11 lbs. and still cannot go WOT until about 45mph in 1st gear. I guess some E.T. streets are in order. I do add 110 octane gas for insurance.
Pass #1 was a 10.58 @ 136.40 with the cutouts closed, 1.65, 60'
Pass #2 it hooked better and I opened the cutouts for the first time at the track and went 10.11@139.25, 1.64 60' (best 60' ever).
Pass #3 I took out the air filter raised the WOT timing from 17 to 19 degrees and iced the intercooler water down really good. It didn't hook well (1.75, 60') and ran a 10.24@140.99.
I thought I would achieve my 9 sec. goal before the 140 but at least I can cross one goal off the list. I'm also out of injector (79# high impedance) and don't have the fuel to rev over 6000 R.P.M. A driver box and low impedance injectors are needed. I did drive to and from the track and still have the A.C.

I think the 80s should still support your power levels just up the fuel pressure. Also you might be able to run a bit leaner depending on your afr. That said I have new set of 120s ,harness and box and am deciding what to do with them. I was having some problems getting my 80s to behave but think maybe finally have them working ok now.
Our goals are pretty much exactly the same. I also wanted around 800rwhp or roughly 1000 engine like my plate but not going to be engine dynoing anytime soon.
Wanted to run a 9.xx anything 9.99 would be fine and also at 140 or so. My car weighs pretty sure around 4000 me out .Haven't weighed it yet and haven't tracked or chassis dynoed yet.Wanted to install my upgraded turbos first.

I did raise my pressure to 62 base with a rising regulator. I am 100% + duty cycle and going lean before 6000 rpm. I think 120's is what I'll need. If you decide to sell the 120's and box I might be interested.

And not sure how high is safe fuel pressure to push them too. But yeah at a certain point makes more sense to get bigger ones, those new high impedence 200s and stuff sound interesting but like 2 thousand bucks.I will let you know if do sell the 120 setup.
It kind of like having them around in case do decide to run them.
I am looking to hit 1000rwhp max but it may be combined spray and boost. My spray is wet so don't use up any injector. But would hope the 80s could do 800rwhp and not be at 100 duty cycle.
Guess do some of my own experimenting later on this year.
Also I think the 80s will behave worse and worse down low when the pressure is upped .They can be bad enough at 58psi.

Maybe the dyno number is off, most horsepower calculators say it takes 870 rwhp for a 3975lb. car to trap 141. The AFR is O.K. at lower R.P.M.s but as the revs get towards 6k the AFR get leaner as the duty cycle hits 100+ %. I'm embarrassed to say how lean I was but lets just say I'm glad I had the 110 in there.

What was dyno number.what was afr? How do you know its not something else in your fuel system letting it lean out..
What do you have for pumps, lines, rail ,reg.
You can make most injectors go to 100 just running way richer than you have to.
Have to look at RC website calculator again and see what it shows.
I do agree though that going to big low impedence might be better for several reasons.
