Cam looks horrible, that would be for a high revving all motor setup with a ton of compression.

The cam will work...just like sh*t. With a motor that small your lowering your DCR, giving up much needed torque at low end, the duration leads it to be a high RPM cam which I am sure your engine is not built correctly to run 7500rpms. Turbo cams are nothing like all motor cams. You need a reverse split with good seperation and the correct duration for your RPM band ground with the right advance. You've got too much duration, not enough seperation, wrong split and not enough advance.

You'll be very happy with either shop. They both have shown they know how to extract every inch of performance out of a small block ls motor.

On the other hand, how many people are running a Cam motion spec'd cam that are fast? I have never heard anyone I have raced with that they have used a Cam Motion custom spec'd turbo cam.

They come well recommended by local guys....but I'll try something new and be different. I plan on this build being a disposable motor, just something to hold me by while I put together an iron block.....

Just for the record, I disagree that a reverse split is the right answer here but the cam specd up top is doo doo for this combo for all the other reasons.

I rarely take time to answer these threads for the same annoyance.

Calling cam motion has proved to be a mistake for turbo cams, someone there thinks turbo cam= reverse split by default, but he can go find that out himself. What dyno does cam motion have? or what turbo cars they run down the track?

that cams' specs look real close to a tsp ms3 cam I believe. 580's with a 116-120 lsa would be a better choice!

That above looks almost like a Trex cam... certainly not the route to good power for a FI car.

Cam motion does some decent stuff with n/a and nitrous setups... but as others stated I have never heard of anyone running one of their grinds in a fast FI car.

That cam sounds GREAT!

For me to poop on!
I am not an expert on cams but everything I have heard and know says that cam won't make good power at all. You might want to not take any more advice from that friend or atleast make sure you double check every idea he comes up with.
