before you change anything, do the compression test and a leakdown test, then start making changes

The fresh air source from the front passenger side valve cover (that used to go to the TB) goes to a nipple on the inlet hat for the blower. I'll try to find the diagram I used for the routing of the PCV system....

If and thats a big if... Your compression and leak down test pass. This thread might help with your PCV system. https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...rs-inside.html

When I had cracked ring land, a compression test showed everything.

Compression test showed around 210psi on all cylinders except #5 which read 90psi

I have seen a cracked ring that didn't show up until leakdown as well.

He has a one-way valve that is famous for getting crudded up between his intake manifold (boost air) and his crankcase. I set these cars up so that all PCV lines from the engine go into a trap and the other side of the trap goes to the blower hat to provide a stronger vacuum under boost.

This is very crude and primitive, but here's a diagram of exactly how mine is set up...

Run both lines off valve cover into catch can, then from catch can to inlet hat That's how mine is set-up and I have no problems.

I had the exact same problem this weekend....dipstick popped up under 16 psi of boost.
Running Mahle forged pistons so I am not too worried about the ring lands, but from what I am reading here my crankcase vent system is maybe not good enough???

Running an -8AN from each valve cover into a vented catch can and that's it.
Should I also run a line from the catch can to the intake side of my turbo??

Im pretty sure it isnt a ringland, just a PCV malfunction.

mine is almost the same way but i have (2) -10 bungs welded in my valley cover and (2) separate -10 lines ran to my catch can that has a filter/breather on top of the can and thats it I know (2) -10 lines is good enough for venting into a vented catch can....no? not trying to hi-jack your thread O.P. but im in the same boat maby u are with venting, just adding more food for thought, sorry..

OK, here's the update. Did a compression test, and all of them are at 165, plus or minus 5. I know that doesn't mean I'm definitely out of the woods, since I haven't done a leakdown, but after talking to Steve from Frost, I definitely think this is a PCV venting issue. I changed my PCV system to the way that Steve suggested...all valve cover ports are tied together and go into the inlet of the catch can. Outlet goes to the blower hat. The TB and intake ports are now plugged.

I started up and idled for about 20 minutes, and its acting fine. I haven't driven it yet...Steve sent me a new tune, but my internet was down until just a couple minutes ago. I'll load the tune, and then go for an easy drive and see how it does. Then maybe make a pull, stop, and pop the hood and check everything.

My dipstick has popped a couple times in the past three years. I have no catch can or anything. I used electrical tape on it. So far so good. I know thats not the answer to solve the problem though.

I think its a goner guys. I put everything back together with the new PCV setup and took it out for a ride...everything was fine under normal driving. Did a WOT pull, and blew the dipstick out again. Got it to the garage and popped the hood with the car still running, and took off the oil filler cap...billowing smoke. Everything I've read says thats the death knell.

Who needs a complete D1SC setup?

i hear where guys are trying to get vacuum from the inlet of the blower/turbo, but if you have vacuum at the inlet, my opinion the air filter is not big enough???
i had a restricted filter on my f1 and it cost me $1800 to put new bearings in it, it tried to suck the impeller out of it self
my catch can comes from both valve covers to catch can out to a filter
