Default N/A to Forced Induction

I'm running a nitrous built motor. My C/R is 10:8:1 right now with my stock 241's. I'm planning on buying a set of 6.0 heads to drop my C/R down to 10:1:1 at least and wondered if this could be accomplished successfully since this is a forged bottom-end. Future plans consist of a Single Front Mount T-76 or a D1SC Procharger. Last but not least how much power could I expect get from the current set-up I have even though it's not a FI setup.

I was running 14lbs on 10.8:1 compression. But on a forged motor and low timing(14*). You'll make more power with more compression, and still be peppy off boost.

If i'm not mistaking it'll stil be around 10:5:1. Blk00ss so how much Rwhp did you put down with that much boost and C/R

It dyno'd 660, but that was with belt slipping and only making 10lbs(BARELY 10!). Once I got my belt slippage fixed and it was seeing 14 the blower decided to eat itself up. Pretty sure it would of done 700...But the best thing was driving around off boost. It was still very peppy.

Run good fuel, keep the timing a little lower to be safe and 650-700whp shouldnt be a problem safely. Like with any FI setup, the tune is everything.

Here is a graph from the old website. The engine was a 346 with a very mild Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam and Patriot LQ9 heads. 15.8 psi of boost from a ProCharger D-1SC and it had methanol injection on it too. This build had a compression ratio around 9.5/1. Bob

Thanks for the input guys. I think i've made up my mind. Those Procharger #'s look pretty stout. Think i'm gonna re-consider the turbo route. "PROCHARGER IT IS"

Lowering the compression ratio via thicker head gaskets is the worsted option.

That's kind of what I thought but I'm new to the F/I world.
Last question. How would a procharger/turbo work with the type of cam I'm running? IT's on a 112LSA

How would my current set-up work with F/I?
Would using a 75 Shot of Nitrous(just for backup) work fine with F/I.

Current cam will work good for the procharger but not so much for that turbo.

Thanks for all the inputs. I'm going with the procharger now since it's a pretty much all around better system for what i'm looking for. Easy to work on as far as plug changing and oil changes but most of all I GET TO RUN MY CAM LOL. Thanks again
