Side gapped recessed plug VS a standard protruding plug (and no those aren't my mangled fingers )

Autolite AR474 "racing plugs" are what I would run for most 20+psi LS motors. If I didn't need a resisted plug I'd be running them. Best performance plug for the money IMO. They are an "8" heat range on the NGK scale. Also have a "special" electrode material. My local parts stores could order these cheaper than summit/jegs.

How do you determine the gap on these? They sound good, and I would be willing to try them, so long as they are good plugs and I can figure out the gap.

here is a good link for 8 NGK TR6 plugs @ $14.95 w/free shipping, I went to summit racing and they priced matched.

Same as any plug. It's the distance from the electrode to the ground strap.

my tuner told me to get colder plugs but after reading this thread I'm confused even more..
I'm looking for a great LS plug in the 8-9 heat range from what I've read but I'm confused on
resistor vs non resistor and why..
