Default What hood will work ls1 camaro rmcr kit

I have a 2000 Camaro and need a hood to clear the rmcr supercharger kit they have, it looks great but I dont want to spend all that money and the hood not fit.Has anyone use the sunoco hood with a v2 vortech upgrade?

If its the SS hood you have to cut out the scoops underneath, you can go aftermarket but the buldge is in the wrong place. We have a few cars here with YSI and we had to cut the hood, shave the top of the blower and lower the k member a half inch for clearence and its still tight.

What cowl hood will bolt on without doing all that? I like the 2 1/2 cowl hood just dont want to shell the cash for something that will not work

A VFN cowl should clear it alot better but all the cars here have stock hoods.

i wasnt aware of that.
i know they require a bit of cutting, but nothing major.
if not then i would go sonoco. but im honestly not sure if it would clear the hood.
keep us posted on your decision.

ya I dont really care for the ultra Z, and since I have a grand already wrapped up in this hood I dont want to have to change it out again and go through that nightmare.
