He used pyramid rings.... ot quite a standard 6.0 bloc but also not a 6 bolt lsx deal either.

I have my own developed gaskets. It had stock 6.0 block and heads and regular ARP studs. Boost was 30 psi with 9.8 cr on E85.

6.0L bored 30 over, main and head studs, stock crank, scat rods, wiseco pistons, TSP Terminator heads, ls6 intake, pt88, 9.39@144 on drag radials. With slicks that would have been faster considering I only managed a 1.57 60' on that pass. I have slicks now, and am swapping to a GT4788, truck manifold hotside, and super vic intake. Shooting for high 8's.

We are hoping to make it to 8.99 before the stock pistons give up, or anything else.

These may not be unreal goals, considering our fairmont went 6.00 in the eight three times before the 5.99 we stopped at. That mp70 was maxed out, and that car was far from perfectly set-up.

At least it will be fun trying to get there. Good luck with your car.

Update, something else gave up first.

Made it back from DragWeek in one piece, barely.

Ran 10.0s all week except the day we had to run the 215/75 r15 substitute tires. Because we slid sideways, in the rain, on the Interstate outside of Toledo, bending the rear wheels before being stopped by the guard rail. Luckly not damaged bad enough to put us out. Because the last day we turned it up to push the 6.0 to the limit.

But the built powerglide broke before the (pulled out of the junkyard 90,000 mile, but only changed the cam, springs, and pushrods) 6.0 liter broke.

The run before the transmission broke was,

1.35 60' 5.95@117.77 1/8th and a "not full run" 9.37@ only 132.62 1/4 mile

If trans would have stayed together the last run would have been very near an 8 sec run.

All of this on E85, at 14 degrees timing. BTW Mike's Mustang weighs 3400 with driver, and was street driven 1100 plus miles before this.

Car was hauling Saturday at Trails. Letting off at the 1000' mark and still coasting to a 9 sec pass.

We feel your pain on the trans breakage.

By no means the quickest but...

9.40@143, 1.35 28W's, YSi, 680rwhp, 18 psi, LS6 block, ported 317's, LS6 intake
9.44@144, 1.35, 325's, GT47-88, unknown boost, same block, AllPro's, LS2 intake

Harlan went 8.2x in 2003 with an LS6 block and ported stock heads.
