did the fuel pumps today, 2x 255lph in the tank, working great with the stock returnless surge tank pressure bleed thing. injectors are on their way, we are going to do some VE tuning tomorrow hopefully, cant really make any boost at all with these baby 32lb injectors.

here are some pics of the hackjob 100% working in tank 2x255s

still waiting on injectors, they will be here thursday, i doubt we will be able to see much boost, we are going to start tuning the VE tables tonight.

i don't think it is DOD

truck feels more powerful at 1/4 throttle than it ever has WOT lol

I would like to know about this as well. I think you have to run a small pump on the return side to pump the oil back in the pan. when the turbo is sitting low like that.
Nice build Id like to do something like this with mine. I would like some more pics of the piping underneath and under the hood.

well i got the 75lb injectors today... but they are the wrong size, they are like 1/4 inch too short, ******* sucks. yeah well i guess i ahve a set for the g8 now...

added a boost gauge to the truck and decided to take it to the dyno and see what the stock injectors can do...

now as all projects go, specially 4 day turbo truck projects, there were some hiccups, we were only hitting 2psi on the lowest spring in the gate. turns out its just that weak, it comes with 3 springs, the weakest with the pre-load turned all teh way down was only hitting 2psi. after checking everything for boost leaks i pre-loaded it more and it hit 3psi. then with a mbc turned up it hit 6max, now we were rolling...

threw in the next step spring, hits 4-5psi
cranked up we hit 9psi for now running close to the end of the stock injectors.

we were running the truck in 2nd gear on the dyno because it does 99mph in 2nd gear, the only thing that sucks is the dyno roller weighs alot less than teh truck does, so it spools later, way later than the truck does on the street, so the whole dyno chart its basically spooling, you can see with the power lines...

other than that we will do some street driving tomorrow, it feels amazing on the street.

base stock pull vs base turbo tune for now on 9psi

difference in injector size... fawk

half(.5psi) check valve that needs to be tighter... going with 14psi

video on its way, hold tight.

would of expected more power out of 9 psi. 9 psi typically sees in the hood of 500 rwhp with a 4.8 [with a cam]

it only baselined at 224. 500 rwhp, even in the neighborhood, would be more than doubling its power with only 9 lbs of boost.

let them get it tuned with the proper injectors and see how it runs.

it has some beat copper plugs in it right now. i think that may be one reason.

it does seem like a low number for 9lbs

only bout 15hp per psi

what size turbo are you running?

this is an mpt76, i think thats like a 72mm if you were to get a turbonetics or similar.

i had ran a pt88 but a guy on pt.net look up foose he has a 4.8 RST truck with a 67mm turbo. i believe at 9 psi he was right at 500 rwhp. on 14 he is in the 600 range. He is also on E85

Glock also ran a 4.8 with a mp76 and gone 11.0@125 on 14 psi i do believe

i know with my setup i was near 29 rwhp per psi

4.8s like timing. you can run a lot more timing in the 4.8 then you can other motors. i ran 21-23* in my setup on pump gas

never pushed a drop of water, never had over heating issues. no issues what so ever

Looks like the truck already got a lot funner to drive. Fuel injectors, cam, stall and build trans and call it a day.
