Oh come on now Mike. The car has yet to see that track as a turbo car. and I would say as a Procharged car it was probably 50/50 street track And I plan on it being about the same now.

Plus if I knew I could get traction in this thing I would give ya a run on the street. haha.

Pretty cool looking build. What did you ever end up doing with that D1SC? I've been looking for a very cheap broken one to mess around with the internals.

Actually I think it will be much nicer to cruise now. It is quieter than the procharged set up. Has a tighter converter and 3.25 gear. Much better for cruising. I already sent you pics of me taking it out for Ice cream last week.

It is still sitting on my garage. The only thing that is usable on it is the case. The input shaft, output shaft, impeller, vollute, and oil slinger are all junk.

I was thinking about hangin part of it on the wall

Well made my first track outting last night to work on the tune and shake down the car. Made 4 passes none of which where very impressive but car has lost of potential. First 2 passes I left off idle building no boost off the line.

1st

1.961 60'
7.49 1/8
106.26 mph
11.244 1/4
113.10 mph On the brakes

2nd

1.943 60'
7.54 1/8
103.71 mph
11.233 1/4
134.89 mph

3rd Left off the trans brake at 3200rpm saw 3 psi spun and peddaled it

1.970 60'
7.257 1/8
107.04 mph
10.966 1/4
124 mph Let off before the 1/4

4th Pass at the suggestion of Fireball I upped the 2 step to 3800rpm saw 4 psi on the brake. And Spun BAD out of the hole aborted the run.

Over all it was a good learning experiance for my first time out with the turbo. I only saw 8.5 psi all the runs. Looking back at the logs I shifted into 2nd just over 5k rpm and shifted into 3rd around 5800rpm. I was also lifting in 3rd at the big end. 2 of the 3 logs showed me lifting to 80% throttle in 3rd when I makign some passes. I syked myself out on the first couple passes caues it had been 1 year since I had made a pass in my car and this was one completely new setup so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Hoping to get back in the next few weeks on a better preped track.

I agree, lots of potential when you get it dialed in. 138 + mph on 8.5 lbs of boost, just wait until you get into the sweet spot of the compressor map Glad to see you finally got it buttoned up to enjoy it, afterall thats more important than setting records or new best.

Well I went to Cecil and Made all my licensing passes. Just need to send in all my paper work and money and I am legal to run in the 9s

I am having some issues with the 2 step causing the car to break up under boost so I ended up removing it last night for my last 2 passes so No trans brake launches and only did some light foot braking. Got my last to passes by MPH.

All passes were on 8.5 psi and my 325 50 15 MT radial. I need to work on the suspension more to get it dialed in to hook on the radial. Also on the foot brake launches I was not into boost at the line and the car didn't come alive until 60-80' out

My 2 full passes were as follows

1.946
7.124
106.99mph
10.749
136.86mph

1.819
7.037
109.48 mph
10.596
139.27 mph

Once I get the suspension sorted out and the 2 step issue figured out the car should do easy 9's.

also noticed today when unloading the car that I have an exhaust leak at the flange on my passanger side manifold to crossover. Gonna get this stuff fixed and get a manual boost contoller and head back to the track.

Here are a couple GOPRO video's form last night

Good job, I told you it would go 138 + on that boost settings. It sounds so tame and mellow

Now that you've had a chance to get into boost on the track
You prefer turbo over your procharged set up?

Well to answer some of the questions you guys have posted I enjoyed how simple the procharger set up is but I enjoy something that isn't as violent with power delivery I can actually hook this thing up on the street.

Went back to the track last night. Still having issues with the car breaking up with my LPE 2 step installed. Run great with it removed. I have done everything LPE says to try and fix the issues and it still gives me problems. waiting to hear back from them now

Did get a new best with this set up still trying to work the bugs out. Here are the passes

1st pass
60'- 1.705
330- 4.505
1/8- 6.751
mph- 109.38
1000- 8.697
1/4- 10.338
mph- 137.82

2nd
I didn't get a slip said I left too late as I was trying to get up on my 2 step that I set at 7300 rpm instead of 3700 rpm

3rd
60'- 1.787
330- 4.556
1/8- 6.839
mph- 107.04
1000- 8.817
1/4- 10.474
mph- 136.70

4th (first pass with 2 step removed note higher MPH, not sure what I was thinking and went WOT on the foot brake and pushed through the lights )
60'- 4.140
330- 7.073
1/8- 9.328
mph- 110.00
1000- 11.251
1/4- 12.870
mph- 139.75

5th (I also lost my Alternator belt somewhere a the begining of this pass. Oh well)
60'- 1.656
330- 4.423
1/8- 6.659
mph- 109.81
1000- 8.580
1/4- 10.189
mph- 140.87

I know I short shifted out of first and second on this pass as I never saw the shift light light up

10.18 pass

10.3 pass
