Howe built my radiator, I'm sure they could make one with the cutout for the blower inlet. Even a 3 core half radiator should do it with enough fan.

I say F1A on a 408...depending on budget go with the LS2 or LQ4/9 block.

I wish I had my Howe radiator made like that.
See now....this is the type of info I need/want.......I want to do it right the first time out.

Thanks man.

He had a D1SC on it before the F1 it was much more tolerable, personally i'd go that route but it just depends on your end HP goals with the car. I would be very happy with 700rwhp, easily achievable with the D1. Good luck with your build!

BTW his Screen name on the board is Firehawk853 if you want to do alittle searching and reading
See my post above You realize that that's him in the video, right? I wish he had some in car clips so I could hear how loud the F-1 Series is in cab.

WOW....my friend has a Vortech, I think he said its Y sc'er.

Jeez that sumbitch is loud when idling. He pulled up behind me tonight and it was pathetically loud.

Is the F1A gonna be the same or louder?

I realize that's him in the video? I said thats my friends car IN the video, of course i know its him, i'm not sure what you mean. And the only piece of stock suspension left on his car is the stock springs, its all aftermarket other than that.

Here is an in car video of Chucks F1C Firehawk against an F1A Cobra, he yanked it hard in the first run, 2nd run the Cobra started in 1st gear, chuck started in 2nd gear so the Cobra got the jump. The F1A is just as loud as the F1C. I'll text him and tell him about this thread, he might be able to answer anymore of your questions

Will a f1a blower bolt up to my d1sc j-bracket? Or a whole new bracket?

I believe the F1A and C fit on the stock bracket.

Correct, the F-1A and the F-1C/F-R all use the same bracket as the P-1SC and D-1SC. The F-1A goes right on an LS1 F Body without any clearance problems. Bob

LS6427,
Why not an iron 408 with TFS 225 on a 9.5,9.0:1 CR with an F1a. Ring the cylinder heads for piece of mind.
If i were to do my engine build again it would be LSX 434 F1R.

so they all use the same j-bracket, a f1a bolts in with no clearance issues so then what clearance issues does the f1c/r run into? Using my car as a example with a upright radaitor etc.?

2nd if they all bolt on the same bracket that means the "gear case" well call it is oviousely all the same size just different gearing in it and the impeller size and housing it just bigger? Just some tech stuff i like to know for future things

I tell ya man...the ridiculous noise these things make is turning me off bigtime. I'm going to look into the same thing I've asked here about a sc'er......but single turbo.
What turbo is equal with respect to direct bolt-in kit? I've already read enough that a single turbo will easily make more power, so what will bolt-in and retain my A/C...........that is the question now. If the price is close.....I'll easily go with single turbo over a sc'er......

I know man. Thats why i didn't build a S/C setup - kinda kicking myself now...
Turbos are awesome! I just didn't want to get involved with that because of the plumbing and the relocation of stuff under the hood. I wanted to use Stainless Works Turbo Headers - check them out, pretty sweet.

EDIT: thinking about somemore i am kicking myself for not doing a turbo also. Can't win. Let me know what you end up doing!

The sound that a ProCharger makes is music to many enthusiast, I have many customers who hope it will be loud when they place there orders. I guess everyone has a different opinion, but one thing is for sure, ProChargers act as a great deer deterrent. Bob

Awesome, what have your 60ft times been?

Hey, I tried to e-mail you again yesterday after you e-mailed me yesterday. It bounced back to me again, saying
"Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:" I'm not sure why your address is rejecting mine, I don't normally have a problem sending people e-mails. Bob
