Default which carb style intake and elbow fit under the factory WS6 hood......

Its been brought to my attention that the plastic intakes might not be a good idea with FI. An S91 turbo is the idea on a 403ci.

Which combo is best......

Thanks

I have a victor jr. with the edelbrock low profile elbow and don't have any fitment issues. Not really sure if I like the elbow or not though. I forget who makes it but there is a nice sheetmetal elbow I have seen that fits too.

the low profile elbow will clear for sure, but it is a huge restriction, on the other side of the spectrum, I went with a edelbrock pro flo!!!!

Runner length doesn;'t matter with FI...is that right?????

Might be a dumb question:
Has anyone ever tried cutting down a carb style intake and re-welding it back together to knock off an inch or two so a normal elbow can be used?

It matters where your power band is gonna be, won't matter as much because your shoving air through it, but a restriction is a restriction.....

This car runs pretty well with that combo.

Also, this car seems to do pretty well with a plastic intake, so I'd say it can be done. I think the FAST is a better package if it handles the boost.

Thanks.
I'm waiting on a quote right now from Josh to retain A/C and I think his kits allow the use of a 91mm turbo. Hope so.
