Its been proven defective. Due to metal fatigue it should not be run. You may get metal shavings into the lifters and into the rest of the engine. That is a defective cam! Who is the seller? Hes an *** hat and a complete retard for selling a **** cam and should be banned...he ovbiously knows nothing about cars. You should have asked for pics first. I hate seeing this bullshit, he ripped you and you should get your money back.

When we took my buddys 98 ls1 apart one of the lobes looked like that aswell with 75k on the clock. It did however run perfect but its a defect in the casting. Gm apparently has poor quality control. But anyways don't run it

I am sending the cam back to the seller. He said he's going to refund my money in full after he gets it back... Wich I think is total bull after, I sent him the money right away.

I think it shouldn't have been sold in the first place and you totally deserve a refund but you should be grateful he is doing anything at all. It's pretty standard not to refund a complete stanger his money until they return the item.

yeah that cam has been totalled. sometimes they get a black discoloration and youre fine, that however has rubbed clear through the surface finish on one particular spot. that cam went bad
