I found a heater hose adapter that has a spot where I could run the steam vent tube to. But Ill deal with it when the time comes.

Alright guys, so Ive decided to go in a slightly different direction. An old hi-flo kit came up for sale and I jumped on it. I figured the cost of buying the piping, intercooler and odds and ends(being in Alaska, shipping is a huge cost), combined with my time and frustration would offset the price of the hi-flo kit.
I guess I should change the thread title lol

I actually finished the plate like 2 months ago lol. I havent had a change to drill holes for the bolts or paint it. Good thing I kept the template to mark where the bolts would be going.

Core support is shaved aside from the necessary holes. Wheelwells are done also.
Primer!
Should be doing the wet sanding and any bondo touch ups this week. Then paint.

Hi-flo kit came in, atleast most of it.
Went ahead and bought the Lunati Gold dual valve springs. Specs:
O.D. 1.306 inch; I.D. 0.676 inch; Max lift: 0.660 inch; Seat load: 153 lb/in @ 1.810 inch; Open load: 400 @ 1.150 inch; Rate: 379 lb/in; Coil bind: 1.100 inch
Should work with my turbo cam(228/232, .60?/.60?), and provide enough pressure that it can handle some higher boost.

There a couple parts of this car that I am very proud of; the radiator support and the blowerbox block off plate. Both were spur of the moment decisions to be different, and both set me back a ton of time. Partly due to lack of knowledge, and partly due to being baffled as to what I was doing. Im glad I really took the time to do these, even if it was a huge pain in the ***.
The blower box plate is installed and looks amazing.
I used weather stripping all around the hole in the firewall to seal out some of the engine air from making it to the cabin. I thought about painting the bolts black so they wouldnt be seen but the contrast of the silver against flat black looked really nice.

Dont have any pics but it was a HUGE pain in the ***. It took up alot of my time. There were about 15 spot welds and some of them were hard to see or feel. I ended up making a couple gouges in the firewall when I was pulling on the strip.
