Procharger D1SCH custom kit on my mbm 99 t/a
My last post about this turned into people whining that the pictures were too big, so I took some better ones and resized them so you can see some of the individual pieces. Here is a brief rundown:
Procharger D1SC helical gears, 4.5" pulley
Aster 8 rib bracket/tensioner
3" stainless FMIC piping, tig welded
ATI race bypass valve (the best part btw)
Larger K&N air filter with precharger (keeps some water out)
Burkhart chassis front core support with ebay intercooler
Put on a stock LS6 crate engine, the setup was making around 10lbs at 6500rpm so we pulled redline back to 6,000rpm to keep it ~8lbs.
Car pulls strong, stronger than the LS7 clutch can handle. That is getting fixed soon. Enjoy!

Beeeuutiful ta! That color is so freakin sweet!
Is this procharger very quiet? What kind of power did she put down and what trans?
Any chance of videos of the car idling? I just really want to hear the supercharger with the helical gears, because I'm really leaning towards that same D1 if it's very stealthy!

That's a good looking color, and looks great inside and out. One question though... Where did you get that license plate cover, or did you make it yourself?
How is the noise with the bypass valve in the passanger side fender? I have mine in the driver's side engine bay and it gets loud at 3 or 4k RPM when not under boost. I may be looking to move the valve.

Thanks guys!
Its a built T56 with a midwest fab9 for the drivetrain, 4.10 gears.
No dyno numbers yet, swapping the clutch for a mcleod rst so I can make some decent pulls, it smokes the clutch once it hits boost now. I am guessing it will put down 550rwhp pretty easy though. Boost comes on about 2200rpm, much earlier than I expected.
I made the front cover myself, cut the stock cover out with a dremel, go a piece of metal screen from lowe's, cut it to fit, sprayed it with matching blue paint (mixed at o'reilley's, and used goop to glue it on. Looks pretty amazing for how cheap it was.
The noise with the bypass behind the front bumper is extremely tolerable. It never gets "loud", but you can hear it when you come off throttle. I would definetly move it if I were you, if you aim it under the bumper cover like this I think it shrouds a lot of the noise. Yours will always be louder than mine though since you are moving more air. If you are welding on your piping to move it you could also make a cone/can that comes out around it to direct the bypassed air/noise forward.

4.10's? I'd swap those out before you dyno it too!
I'll stay tuned for a vid but any noise is probably all from the bypass, nothing from the blower like the "rattling" noise the D1's usually make?
