Default 370 vs 347

In the process of starting engine build for my procharger.

My stock block is ok so i was leaning toward rods n pistons for it. Some guys have said the 370 would be worth the extra money...what you guys think

switching to a th400 w/brake

I was orginially going to build a forged 347 but endup coming across some cash so I build a LQ4 370. What are your goals? A P1 is going to huff out pretty quick on a 370. A 347 might be a better choice for your build.

if you go f1 a iron block has more plus's then aluminum. you can get quite a bit more hp and not have to worry. aluminum blocks have problems with head gaskets and handling over 750hp.

I think if u could sell the 346 to make up the difference to get the lq4 I would say yes but the if cars in the 8s with 347 so it all depends on how fast u want to go...

I run stage 3 LS6 heads and just dropped the compression in the pistons. If your looking at going with a different blower, I'd go with the 370. I have a custom cam for my 370 as well. 9's with a good trans/ suspention setup shouldnt be to hard.

Just remember the The added 100 pounds with the iron block but if weighs not a concerned then its not a big deal but if your just looking for 9s then I would just go with the 347

Havent got it running yet. Cam is just a tad more agressive then the EPP or Brutespeed cam. I kinda went off that cam for a basis cause they seem to do very well.

This might be just opinion, but when I swapped from 346 to 370LQ9, the first main thing I noticed was the 370 sounded alot throatier, and generally more bad ***. I cant lie, the 370ci is an awesome sounding motor!
