sorry to bring up an old post but where exactly is this??? all the ones i see are 3k+ if you can have one on my shipping dock for that ill buy one next week!

This topic is extremely vague without knowing your goals, or what will be the main purpose of the car. If street, then a T56 will hold fine. I have plenty of friends that run their cars every weekend on the street on stock T56s, even one making 1000+whp. I personally am converting to a TR6060, just to be on the safe side. My car will be 95% street duty though, I will take it maybe once or twice a year to the track when it's done.
If you're wanting a car that can both be ridden on the street, and perform well at the track, then auto is the way to go, no doubt.
I personally like rippin' through them gears though
