I am running Piston Squirters from Katech. You have to machine the block for them.

Yes that is each and no I don't think it will work on the LQ4 or LS1 block. LS2, LS3, LS7, and LSX I know it will work on.

Seems like it'd be beneficial in a RR application or Mile. Wash away heat gathered from sustained load. I dig.

The pad is not in the LQ4 block for the factory type oilers. I use one that goes in the main bulkhead in high power drag engines, but it leaves the galley open and will cause the galley to drain when sitting. Not sure if that would be a problem in a daily driver.

If those are pointing up how will it cause the galley to drain? Is this mod best for drag apps?? Is this mod worth it on a street car? Im leaning towards not running an IC,(no room up front) and releying on Meth/water inj.for cooling.

I use it in boosted engines mostly for cooling the pistons, but I have used it in one NA engine for land speed racing. Nascar uses them with multiple nozzles on each piston to keep the crown cool.
The nozzle is below the main oil galley, this may cause draining of the galley when the car sits around.

I think i read somewhere the F1 cars use about 10per cylinder to keep piston temps down.

More nozzles spraying a finer mist would be better, but the real estate is just not available in these engines. Comp has a nice design in the RHS block, but the nozzle is still in development right now.

Why would they be so stupid as to do that ?

I read ages ago a guy who does OE research for Mahle, and he was saying the oil jets can offer massive piston cooling and improvements to detonation resistance.

If an engine came with them fitted, it would be mental to remove them.
