Procharger supplies a hard plastic duct for the filter. I will know how big I filter I can run once I get everything back in the car and see how much room I have to work with.

I did what I could to support the crank as best I can. Hopefully the callies dragonslayer will be up to the task along with my now custom LT1 big block hub. The blower can't get any closer to the engine so the spacer is necessary and milled accordingly to make sure the blower and crank pulley are aligned perfectly.

It will be fine. I never had any issues with my dragonslayer with a double keyed BBC hub, 10-rib with about the same spacing you have. and i had the belt TIGHT most of the time

Thanks again. Still a lot to get done but hopefully all the little details will make it that much better. More pics to come tomorrow. K-member is going back into the car.

Same here. I did the wire delete mod on both sides of the fenders to help clean things up a bit. Also went with the Speed Inc. fuel line relocation as well. It's going to get busy in the engine bay soon but every little bit helps.

Been meaning to update the thread. As of now, I just have a bunch of little odds and ends to tie up including the new engine harness, meth system, and other electrical things.

I sent the trans away today to Tick Performance for their Level 3 build and also asked them to put in new bearings and a viper second gear since I have a pre-2000 trans. Real nice people to deal with so can't wait to get it back.

By the time the trans is back, I hope to have everything else ready to roll besides the exhaust. Idea would be to get the trans in and see if she starts

Looking like a late Feb, early March this will all happen. I will continue to post significant pics when I have them.

Little things are getting done now. The EFI connection harness is routed properly (this time lol), A/C compressor is filled with oil and back in with lines attached, and in general it was a good couple hours of work. Buddy Jon was over and in typical fashion, managed to molest my engine once again.

Good times...

Figure I would throw up a quick update since this build is far from dead. Been wrapping up a lot of the odds and ends with a goal of getting the car started next weekend. I'm hoping my trans gets back from Tick in time and we should be ready to give it a start.

Since the last update, the following has happened.

- relocated power terminal/ground terminal
- got most of the EFI connection harness laid out with 90% of the sensors plugged in.
- spark plug wires were made and installed
- put a .10" shim on the blower pulley, everything is lined up absolutely perfectly.
- abs bracket clearanced for the F1A and reinstalled
- mocked up the intake pipe from the engine and found the spot for the open bypass valve (got everything TIG welded and painted black besides the bypass)
- relocated cruise control
- breather installed on passenger side valve cover
- hooked up new clutch slave and mcleod master cyl
- spaced fan motors per prochargers instructions

Lot of other little things have been done as well. Also still a decent laundry list of items that will need to be done.

Well yesterday it happened. IT IS ALIVE!!!!!!

Got the trans back from Tick on Thursday and put it in after a long Friday night with my buddy Jon. Somehow the nuts for the slave cylinder were misplaced so we were done for the night. Got a lazy start on Saturday since I was up until 2AM the night before. The headers/y-pipe connection really slowed me up. The LPP Y-Pipe fits like **** for lack of a better term. Everything after the Y pipe is going to be fabbed anyway but pretty annoying it didn't slip on like it should.

Anyway, still a lot of little odds and ends to get wrapped up before I can take it for a spin but I think it sounds great.

~65 psi of oil pressure at idle, 60psi of fuel pressure (I know its too high and need to adjust to around 41-43 psi). It started to stumble a touch but then started holding a reasonably steady idle which I assume may be typical of a first start and 80lb high impedance injectors. I was happy to see that Lonnies fuel system worked without any issues. I didn't expect any problems but nice to install something and it simply works!

Sounds good! Damn, engine bay almost looks identical to mine. LOL Familiar looking alternator, is that a Tuff Stuff's 200 alt?

Again, congrats as I know it was a long time in the making!

Thanks!! I have a lot of little details to go over but it came together nicely. The alternator is from Mr. Alternator. Maybe its a rebranded Tuff Stuff but yes it is a 200 unit.

Yea getting much closer. Lot of little things to tie up. Having an issue with some of the header primaries glowing red at idle. At first, the idle was too high because the TPS needed to be adjusted to 0% at closed throttle. Only cylinders 4&6 are glowing (2-3" section a couple inches from the header flange). I'm working with the tuner to get this straightened out before making the trip to the dyno. A/F is 14:1 at idle and timing looks to be around 21-24 deg which doesn't sound right. I don't believe anything mechanically is wrong or misadjusted since the car sounds really healthy in person holding a steady 15" of vacuum.

We has flow?

Old & Busted

New Hotness - Custom Y-Pipe, 4" I-Pipe to 4" single in/out polished SS Magnaflow muffler to hideaway tip

Decided on the flanges over a slip fit for the Y-pipe so if I need to pull the trans or w/e it will be really easy. Everything tucks up nicely for such a large diameter system especially in the crossmember and over the axle area. I had them put two o2 bungs in each 3" section of the Y-pipe and then another after the collector. The tuner may want to monitor each bank and if I upgrade my wideband, I can do the same. The rear sensor I will use for the time being. I'm pretty happy and it sounds pretty nice too.

Here is a video of the car idling (not very exciting) with the new exhaust.

Update time!

Well I was able to get the car ready for the dyno tune and headed down to Race Proven Motorsports in Delaware to get the job done. They came very well recommended and it was a solid choice. Fran and his staff were simply top notch. I don't think I've ever felt more comfortable handing my car over to another shop for any kind of work. The lounge was also comfortable and helped keep me relaxed in between dyno pulls.

The results are below and I'm very very pleased with the numbers. I was hoping for anything over 650rwhp and the car did even better. RPM mentioned that it will pick up a bit more with some miles on it but again, I'm very happy with the way everything went. Being the car was not pushed this hard up to this point, a couple minor issues came up but were resolved. As I planned, the driveability is much improved over the old heads/cam setup with the cc306 and spec 3 clutch. The rest is up for me to finish up and get it all set for the open road and eventually the track.

Big thanks to the South Jersey Pals, my close friends, family and the list of supportive vendors listed below.

Race Proven Motorsports - Great shop and very happy with the tune.

Lonnies Performance - Fuel system worked just as intended with zero issues. Excellent customer support and this was probably the only thing that worked right out of the box as advertised.

Bob @ Brutespeed - Great price on the blower setup and very helpful customer service.

Lloyd Elliot Portworks - Very easy to deal with and the parts worked/flowed as advertised. He actually claims the closest guess on the rwhp figure. The setup makes the power with very good driveability. Can't complain with that.

On to the numbers and video.
