Default Best SC Compression Ratio Street/Strip Car

Ok guys need your opinion I have a forged iron block 408'' bottom end with diamond flat tops and uncut L92 CNC ported heads current CR is right at10.25:1, I want to hang a F1R or a Novi 2000 on the motor should I lower the CR? I have a set of Ross 8.5:1 pistons already I just don't want it to be a dog on the bottom end...oh yeah it is a M6 car with a 9'' 4.10 rear that will see more street miles than track time.

Looking to make some decent numbers north of 750 rwhp
Should I keep the higher CR and run Meth and a air to water or lower the CR and run a FMIC?

Your compression ratio is not bad at all for a centrifical supercharger. Run methanol injection with it and you'll have a very good combination. Bob

I personally like about 9.5:1 for a mostly street car. You could most likely get away with either piston you choose. On a careful tune and meth you can definitely still make great power on the 10.25:1 setup.

Since it's going to be mostly a street car, I'd shy away from a air to water and just go with air to air. It will be fine for your goals and much less complex.

Also I would look into running E85, especially if you go with the higher compression.

I was leaning toward the Meth and not having to pull the pistons but I have to wonder how much meth will it drink being street driven at that Hp level or more?

E85 is not an option. I would really like to be able to run it without an IC if I coud get away with it I assume that would take lots of meth and luck...

Keep the motor the way it is, a good progressive meth kit, and a A2A fmic with a good core and you should be fine. I would definitely not skip over an ic though.

You only use the methanol basically at wide open throttle, and it doesn't use much. Bob
