DAAAMN!!! Thats siiiik!

Keep us posted as you log more hours on the engine. Are the sleeves in the alum 5.3 just like the cast iron 5.3? IE, you can actually bore them out safely unlike the Ls1 blocks?

It's an LH4 out of an SSR or similar. The sleeves are like an ls1/ls6, but thicker. It is a gen 2 block though like an ls2 and uses those knock sensors and timing gear.

That is where the factory governed many lsx vehicles. Must have something to do with that. Maybe there is a different PID to select.

I ask cause mine does the same thing. Still pulls past but the scanner stops there with my 411 pcm.

Hi V, so how did your motor turn out after boring the 5.3. How did it hold up to boost how much boost and did it ever push water out the gasket ? I got a iron 5.3 I was thinking about boring and running twin 76mm turbos. What did your final motor build end up being? Crank rods pistons heads head gaskets ?
