Built 347 Seized
Drove car to school the other week with no boost. Pulled into parking spot and motor sounded like it stalled out while I was turning steering wheel so I thought no big deal. Tried starting it and it was turning over really weak so I just left it and went to class. Come back a few hours later and crank the car and it turns over 5-7 times strong and then just stopped, engine never fired. Towed it home and have it torn down. Unable to turn motor over by crank bolt in either direction. All accessories and transmission are removed. Plugs weren't damaged and radiator wasn't down on fluid. Car made no crazy noises when all this happened.
About to pull motor but engine mount bolts and seized too so it will have to wait until tomorrow.
Any ideas?

Damn thats fucked up..I followed your build up and your car was my deciding factor to go 347 with a d1sc. I agree with an earlier post did you happen to glance at your oil pressure. I think the pump might have taken a dump. What type of pump were you running.

i know this is gonna sound a bit unbelievable but i had a rod in my 98 SS let go and it didnt even make a peep. and oddly enough when i yanked the shortblock it wouldnt move either. i pulled the pan and the rod was wedged against the wall. didnt even put a hole in it or anything. lets hope you find it and it's an easy fix. the rings may be too tight and got siezed up. not sure though usually the ring land will break when it's too tight.
