I have a better idea. I'm going to take the heads and tap the holes, insert a brass fitting and then put flex lines from one to the other, then T it into the one on the front. Doing it this way will allow me to get past the Magnacharger and Oil Pressure sending unit.

my thoughts exactly. drill/tap for 1/8npt and use whatever combination of fittings you desire to keep it clean and make it work.

Can someone actually post up emperical evidence regarding the rear steam ports being the cause of pistons 7&8 failures? On the completely blocked off setup Ls1's of course.

Ill try and get pics of my setup tomorrow.
Its two of the front OEM lines that connect parallel to each other and then has the line coming off one of the heads in the front and back ports. I have a hose ran from the back line to the front along the side of the intake manifold under the fuel rail that connects to the front line via a 3-way connector which also hooks up to the radiator line so its all in conjunction and stock looking. You really don't even notice it unless you are only looking for that in particular.
On my old Z I had the block off's in the back for a long time and it always bugged me in the back of my mind just because of all the #7&8 problems people were having at all HP levels. I know many were probably in coincidence with other issues like a bad tune or plug/wire, etc but its cheap insurance to do it right.

Its actually not that easy to search for this since you cant use 7 or #7 in a search.

I just bought a second front cross over tube to use on the back then I connected it to the to line coming out of the front cross over on its way back to the radiator. I'll see how that goes from here.

So what about the intake manifold theory?

Here is the one I remember with a lot of good info. BTW I typed in piston failure and only searched in the forced induction section.

In theory pressure is constant at any rate. Which kinda negates the theory of the last two cylinders lacking the required airflow. The carb style intake just makes sense upon a visual, but there are still people out there making real power with a simple OEM ls6 intake manifold...
