Default Suggestion on possible cylinder head swap

This is the current setup I have:
Should be around 10.5:1 compression
Lunati Pro-mod 6.125 rods
Lunati Pistons/rings 3.903 -2cc
Stock LS1 crank
ARP main studs
ARP headstuds (6point)
Double roller timing set
TREX cam
Westside/LME 5.3 heads 2.02/1.55 valves Rev dual valve Springs
LS6 oil pump ported and shimmed

I want to go forced induction via single front mount turbo. Since this engine is already forged, I was wondering if I can swap out the cylinder heads and lower compression down quite a bit to be safe. I am aiming for 750rwp, I know I will have to change the cam but whats a good turbo cam that is noticeable.
Here are some pics of my current setup..

I have a racetronix fuel pump setup but planning on going dual intank setup.
I sold my fast 92/92 and bought a victor jr with elbow and a ptm 92mm tb.
I like the look of tubular turbo setups so that is the route I am going. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am doing alot of researching and I hope to have this done by end of February. The stickies help alot and I still have alot of reading to go.

You could throw a set of 317's on there. That should drop it down into the 9.8:1-10.0:1. Its a little better. Go with the thickest head gasket as well. Might even be able to send them in to get some bowl work done to increase the CC's.

Will 317's work on a 5.7? I thought they only worked with 6.0 and bigger engines.

No. They'll work on a 5.7. You just need to use the 6.0/4.000" bore head gaskets.

I thought I read that when running big bore heads the valves were to close too to the cylinder walls and they needed to be notched? Any info on this?

Maybe aftermarket ones are a problem, but not stock 317s. You can even run them on a 4.8/5.3.

FWIW, I previously had a high compression nitrous setup that consisted of a big cam and 59cc AFR 205 heads. I put on a set of stock 317's and put a Dallas Performance Turbo cam in it and I was good to go.

Thanks for the info.

I did a search and the issues were with the l92 heads not the 317's.
I am now on the look out for ported 317's. I have some LME 5.3 706 heads that are ported if anyone wants to trade? pics are on the first post.

So now, how about a good cam? Something that will get me upto 750rwhp. What about the epp blower cam?

I have a stock set of 317's with the partiot extreme springs if your interested in them. There are a lot of options for cam choices. A budget cam people seem to run and have good results with is a 02-03 Z06 cam. There's quite a few other cams as well. As you said, I've seen a few turbo cars run the Brutespeed blower cam and have good results with a little lope as well.

I have a set of new, never installed, 317 heads fully CNC ported if interested. The have stainless valves, rev springs & titanium retainers. A customer of mine bought them for his car & then decided to build a Warhawk block stroker motor.

Feel free to give me a call.
