No comments?! oh well anyway this thing is pretty much done. Got the radiator hose and new bov installed. Also did all the boost/vacuum lines. Just a couple more bugs to work out and oh also needs a windshield and inspection. Here's a vid, thus thing is quiet with the exhaust hooked up!

lookin good. maybe i missed it, but what mounts are you running? i cant believe you got that 88 in there, my 70 barely fits with spohn mounts. have any close up pics of how you mounted the radiator? I just have to get my radiator mounted, fab dp, and do the fuel system and i should be ready to go

Thanks man! The mounts I'm using are stock third Gen mounts with the adjustable brackets that mount to the block. They give you three positions, neutral, 1in forward and 1 in back. I ended up using the 1 in back position as it keeps your transmission in the original location. Thus I didn't have to mess with the driveshaft or shifter location. The radiator is a Griffin brand from summit. It measures 15.5 in high x 31in wide and 3 in thick. It tucks up nicely under the Rad support giving and extra 2-3 of room for the Turbo. Ill see if I can find a pic of the Rad mounts. Basically they're just 2 aluminum "L" brackets welded to the radiator with a bolt going thru the Rad support to the bracket. The cool thing is we didn't have to cut the car up at all to fit this setup, it should fit in any third Gen.

I'm on my phone so I can't post pics right now but there's a good pic of the radiator on page 4 of this thread. Its a pic of the Rad in the engine bay, you can see the Rad mounts well.

The weak link in these motors is keeping the heads down. Anything over 1000hp will most certainly cause issues with pushing water, blowing head gaskets etc. People say that going with an aftermarket thick deck head, upgrading to 1/2 in head studs and o ringing the block are a solution. To be honest I wouldnt try to push it to 1000hp unless I had an lsx 6 bolt block and 6 bolt heads. Its been done before many times but its just something I wouldn't be comfortable with. As for heads, mast motorsports makes a killer thickness deck l92 head, a little pricey tho at about 3k. Cam I'd go with something I. The 240s duration and 650+ lift. Then again it depends on if its for street or strip stick or auto. I'm running a 230 238 575 585 on 114. It has great street manners and 14in vacuum at idle.

That Cam seems fine, little big for my liking but considering you'll be auto it should work well. As far as tshe heads go afr, tsp, etp are all great aftermarket heads, just not sure if they offer an l92 style square port head. The l92s are a great stock head, they flow 320 cfm out of the box, 2.16 valves, 265 CC runners, just the thin deck holds back their potential. A few stock style head options are the l92, ls3, lsa, and ls9. They're all square port and flow ridiculous numbers but again the thin deck. The ls9 heads are little better in that they use a different alloy, different casting method and use larger diameter head bolts/studs. The lsa heads are from the supercharged caddilacs, they are similar to the ls9 heads round on the zr1 vettes but I'm not sure of what the differences are. As far as CC heads go that will depend on how much compression you want to run. Mine came out to 9.3 with a 70cc head. The other option is to go with cathedral style heads, there's tons of those in aftermarket brands, but again they're not cheap. Maybe get a used set?
