I ran 11:1 on 14lbs of boost. Everything was fine. Plan on pushing it even harder when I can finally get my turbo on.

well 92-93 premium is what i usually run
was just curious about it... not gonna happen for a while.
im guessing it would just be easier to slap a different set of pistons in it if i do go down that road.

I'm running 11 lbs of boost with an 11 to 1 compression ratio - so that's quite close to my setup.

My Fuel = 93 Octane fuel (10% alcohol here in NC)

My Meth Witch's Brew = -20 degree WWF and two 1 quart bottles of 91% Isopropyl alcohol

I've got about 40K miles on this setup - haven't blown up (yet).

You might get away with 5-6 lbs boost on pump gas, maybe a little more with Meth injection, and low timing to keep it safe.

Yes you can but you have no room for error. Its really great for a fun street car with less than 9 psi. You are just slightly higher than stock compression on a ls2, ls3, ls7 and alot of those running around boosted.

Low boost would probably be ok with pump gas. If you want more boost then race fuel is your best option. Like was said before there is no room for error. Meaning your tune better be dead on and hope you don't get a tank of bad gas...... What cc heads are you running? You could lower the compression some by switching to 72cc heads and thicker head gaskets. Might give you a little more piece of mind.

Higher compression and boost is where the trend is going. You will need a good fuel if you want higher boost/power, forget pump. Best bet would be E85, that'd be a rocking setup.

We ran an APS twin turbo on a Firehawk at 11.0/1 compression ratio at 8 psi of boost without any problems back at the old shop that is now closed. The website is still up, and here is a link to this build. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=39 Bob

It can be done....but is it worth the risk ?

If you are prepared for a blow up, then all's good.

If you arent, then dont do it.

I ran 93 pump with a 50/50 mix of meth and water. Dual nozzle snow meth kit, not sure on actual nozzle size. But it was doing it's job. During the middle of the day in July it would bring the IAT's down by almost 20 degrees in just a third gear pull. Also my a/f was around 11.2-11.4:1. And only 14 degrees of timing. Never got to really lean on the tune because my blower let go. Never a drop of water pushed and was really fun to drive! Tons of off boost pep.
