You ran 8.5s on that little thing, wow ! By specs alone, precisions gen 2 a2w ic's are the hot ticket. They are physicaly smaller and lighter than their old style ic's.

The car has meth (and his signature says so for those that don't know).

The PT 1000 is better and smaller. The newer ones use a single Garrett 1,000 hp core, I bought the same core that they use and I'm having someone fabricate the end tanks, I think overall it will be close to the price of the PT1000 with cast tanks but more setup for my combo.

I still dont get how units as tiny as those can actually be very efficient at cooling.

What sort of intake temps are you seeing ( no meth )

Another option would be to run a larger reservoir and a pump with higher flow rate. I put a 10gal water tank in the trunk with a huge intank pump. Of course ice if you're not already doing that. IAT's at WOT never broke 90-but they do tend to be less with a blower anyway.

my problem with the 900 is not really iat's but the pressure drop across it.. its too restrictive for my airflow needs.

dont have any data without meth but i dont typically see inlet temps over 80 even at 24# boost

i think the intercooler is keeping me from running more boost.. i need more boost!

IMO, the meth spray will lower IAT's for sure. But how much of the reading is an actual temperature drop, or perhaps just the temperature of the meth hitting the sensor....who knows.

That's why it can be good to know IAT's without the meth. Maybe they are crazy.

What about adding another A2W unit in parallel. That would allow more airflow and cooling capacity.
Any room the mirror the cooler on the other side of the car ?

Sounds like you NEED an IC with a larger core which means you will have to relocate it and route all new piping. There isn't much room under the hood so I don't have a recommendation on where to start looking for space. Another option would be to have a custom A2W made that would fit in front of the rad support.

Naw that's an old pic from the fab work to do a downpipe that fit the stock k. My only option space wise is a single cooler where the current one is. Car still has stock bumper support up front and air filter stuff on opposite side. I always run meth.

I know you like the stealth factor.. this maybe not be the cheapest but run two.. mirror that cooler on the other side and make some new ic piping.

you can trim the front bumper support or get one like the burkhart and put a larger a2w in there.

checked my buddies today its a pt1200 he has it in the front bumper of his t/a. he just trimmed the support. on precisions site it looks like the new gen 2 core is used in the pt1500 and its even more compact. and the pt2000 has very similar dimensions to what you have. both have 4" inlets and outlets.

The new style PT1000 will flow more air than that unit as it only goes across one core. I would expect the pressure drop to go down and the inlet temps up slightly. The PT 1000 will be much smaller and be best with high water flow. The free flow design will push temps up if you can handle that?
