Anyone bend a rod bolt on LS2 with 700rwhp or less?

I'm looking to turn the boost up and go for 650rwhp and curious if the rod bolts will hold this power? I'm sure there are exceptions where guys have bend them a lower horsepower levels, just want to know if you bent yours, what rwhp did you have and how often you stepped on your car?

There is someone with a GTO on here that has an LQ9 (same rods as LS2 I believe) that is at 825 rwhp, so I would assume 700 would be somewhat doable, pending a good tune.

The problem is that the rod bolts stretch and then it's game over for the block and possibly the heads too. 6600 RPM is way too high for the stockers at that power level IMO. Might live on a dyno but on a full 1/4 mile pass, you will likely air condition the motor. I would try to keep it around 6K or put in a set of ARP's in them.

I dont think 6600 is that high... Im building a 370 now using ls2 rods because some of the affordable forged rods are rated less then what the ls2s have stood up to. I think your safe as long as tune is good. I will be testing the strength of the ls2 rod with nitrous.
