Default How would you turbo M6 guys like a boost by gear?

I designed one for the vettes using some of Jim @Speed incs ideas with the Eboost... but it quickly failed, and only worked for Corvettes.... It wasnt a design I could sell with out major issues.

But how do we solve this issue for Mustang, and Camaro guys?

Build a box that takes Wheel speed as an input, and based on your settings will change the Eboost based off of wheel speed! You can set it to change at the top or bottom of each gear, or you can set it to change as you ramp power in with an auto car

This way, it doesnt need a corvette style transmission and shift linkage to work correctly! Any car with an Eboost and a passive ( most cars up to 09ish) wheel speed sensor can now have a boost by gear setup!

Tiago Tested the beta unit yesterday. We Tested it on a lathe and a function generator, and its finally in a car working now

Ill let him chime in on how it works, and there are still some bugs to be worked out, but this thing is going to happen!

Louis

How do you control an Eboost with a 0-5?

The LPE box is great, if you have an AMS 1000....

no it is not a 0-5v output it is two wires, orange and green, that are used to tell the EB2 which set point it should go to. Both wires open defaults it to SP1, green GRND and orange open puts it in SP2, green open and orange GRND puts it in SP3, and both wires grounded gives you SP4 = mega boost.

the box in natural state is SP1.
SP2 engage speed is adjustible from ~30 mph up to 70 mph.
SP3 engage speed is adjustible from ~70 mph up to 90 mph.
SP4 engage speed is adjustible from 100 mph up to 150 mph.

it works beautifully! I sent a little video of it to Louis for his blessing, if it is ok I will post it here.

I will be installing this little box on all EB2 cars I work on from now on

I've had the switches installed on the shifter on a C6 before, and also built a custom one for a supra, they didn't last more then one night at a time because the switches kept failing. The GSS BBS box solves the boost control issue on 6 speed or auto STREET cars.

Your right, I thought that with all the gizmos the eboost had it could be made to work. How much is the box going to cost?

Louis, I know we talked about this before before it was tested, but Im still wanting one. I think this will work perfectly with the kind of racing I do. Shoot me a PM or text with a cost and ETA of when you can have one ready.

Also, for guys like me running meth, and my meth dial settings are as follows corresponding to my boost settings:

SP1 = 4 on the dial
SP2 = 5 on the dial
SP3 = 6 on the dial
SP4 = 6 on the dial

How would this work with the BBS box you are making?

4-6 on the dial isnt enough to make a huge difference, if you left it at 6.

What you are doing is basically racing people on different boost levels, but never chaning the boost level during a run. This will automatically click up for you, based off of what you set it.

Ill ping you tonight Chris, it does indeed work now

I have a turbo Mustang we can test it on Louis. Let me know I can wire it and test it ASAP. I'll give you a call tomorrow.

If we could wire that up for my MPH on my two step I would be in business.

Thanks,
Nick

Surely it's a long shot, any options for a Gen II Viper with eBoost2 and AEM EMS?

need to check your front wheel ABS sensors and see if its passive. If so, it should work.

I do have a few Gen II vipers available locally, Ill see if they will let me tap into their wheel speeds. It should work though. Ill be honest, the AEM boost by vehicle speed is better, but if you like the Eboost ( Like a LOT do) this is the ticket. If you want to make a pull with someone on a set level, you can take it out of E_SP and make it internal SPs and still click up manually.

This setup isnt AMS1000 territory, its for the guy that already has the Eboost, and loves it, and wants to control boost better on the street, or not have to take their hands off the wheel to click up.... Thats what this is
