Default MPGT45 vs. PT76GTSH on a 370ci ?

I had this MPGT45 on a stock LQ4 and was pretty happy the way it ran. Spool was instantly and made about 700whp @ 15psi

I had an engine noise so Im ripping it all apart and building a forged 10:1 370ci for E-85. I'd like to get about 800-850whp out of it.

This is just my street car so I'd like it to spool instantly. I got a good deal on this PT76GTSH and I was wondering since the GT45 has a 80mm turbine side and a 1.05 a/r and spooled instantly, and this PT76 has a 76mm turbine side and a .96 is it going to choke it at all being 370ci? I was going to build a 325ci but found another deal on some 370 parts.

Anyone else run a single PT76? Results?

Thanks.

The PT76GTS has a 82mm turbine inducer and 75mm exducer. It will make more power and spool quicker than the MPS turbo, its a great unit.

Wow, 700 with a 69mm compressor, nice job.

Im going to have Forced Inductions upgrade mine (MP GT45) to a 76mm Garrett compressor wheel. Old school tech but Im hoping it works good and will get me to 750. 600 now.

MP rates them at like 1000hp. My old 5.3 put down 640whp (15psi, gasoline) with it though a TCI streetfighter converter (horrible) . I would think 750 would be doable, but about at its limits. Other forums say 800whp is doable.

The stock LQ4 (ls6 cam) now is on E-85 and 25 degrees of timing. Im just estimating the 700whp comparing it to my 5.3 w/ 640whp. There is quite a difference.

MP rates it at 1000hp, but it comes no where near that with the small comp wheel pictured. The 76 will out spool it and out power it.

Couple weeks. I dont think you will make 650 at that elev. unless you have a very efficient setup.
