Default ls9 head gasket + ls1 heads + ls1 lifter = what pushrod

Will running LS9 head gaskets on unmilled ls1 heads require longer pushrods? I know they're thicker than the factory mls ls1 gaskets, but I am having trouble finding the difference between the two.

you mostlikley are ok if the LS9 gaskets are slightly thicker the lifters will make up for it shouldnt be a problem, you could use a push rod checker

thats obviously the best thing to do, but when your on a tight time schedule, it doesn't hurt to ask ahead of time to make sure you have the right parts before you tear the car apart

The cam base circle can skew the results if you are trying to do the math on paper. If its a stock cam, and the LS9 gasket, you could go 7.400. If its an aftermarket cam, you need a 7.425 to 7.450.

Gonna have to check with length checker. Like mentioned before cam affects final measurement and also if heads have been milled. If correct length pr are not used it will affect valvetrain geometry

LS6 cam...LS1 lifters, and stock unmilled LS1 heads. Ordered a PR checker today just to be safe. Figure I will use it again in the future anyway.
