2" seems kinda small but it would be nice because of the space it would save.. anyone else have an opinion? also has many of u cut the flange off of the truck manifolds and welded on v-bands? if so what size do i need for that? if i need 2.5" then its pointless to go with 2" merge however if its 2" vband then i could see it working out good

2" seems kinda small based on what comparision? We use 2 x 2.5" pipes merged to a single 3.5" and make well over 2200hp. 2" works well because it keeps the velocity of the air up as it gets to the turbo. Do you plan on making 1800+hp, if not than you dont need a 2.5" crossover. Use a good cone reducer and depending on the routing, I like merging the 2 sides before the turbo so the air has time to settle down.

Here is a thread I made that contains good info on pipe size

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...old-build.html

And they make reducers that go from 2.5" to 2"

Check out www.mandrelbends.com as well. Great service and parts.

Welding vbands to the manifolds has been done many many times. Just make sure the cast is nice and hot.

Global doesn't seel 1 5/8" which most of the small motors need. mandrel-bends or stainlessheaders.com is your best bet
