Default Check Valve Question

Just a quick check valve question. How bad is it if it does not completely stop the air from going one way? I found a PCV valve that fits my lines perfectly, but it does not seal perfectly.

Second just checking if this is a decent setup for a low boost Procharger?

(Yeah i know my artwork is pretty damn good)

if you go to your local auto junk or advanced, Where i found mine, you can get a valve that will seal 100%, its a nipple on one end and a thread on the other, and get a nipple to female thread and put them together, its what i did, and it worked amazing!

For a simple application like yours, your setup should do ok, Id run both breathers to the can though,

I would however run a vaccum line from your procharger inlet to one side of the can to get vacuum on the can at all times.

Was the valve a PCV? Because thats what i did, i looked through books of pcv valves an found the one that fits my lines perfectly. Do you have a part number?

actually, i went through about 200 different valves blowing through each one of them, i know the manager and we spent over and hour looking in every single valve he had, and then got lines to fit. Rubber lines can be clamped down or stretched somewhat, so i figured as long as i find a valve thats close in size and will seal shut, ill be golden, i forgot the part number.

I suppose i could stop by on my way home tonight and grab that valve and get the part number for ya and post back up??

That would help me get started if you could.

Good thing i work at Napa, and the only person that has to watch me blowing valves would be my co-workers

EDIT: Oh and so i should tee into the catch can line with the cross over from the back of the valve covers?

Their is a couple really good thread from not too long ago with catch can setups and check valves. cant recall what they are called.

Can i ask you a question, and not trying to sound like a jack *** either, i promise,

do you have an extra 150 bucks to spare for another option?

Ha, i would rather not spend that on the PCV system. Considering all Procharger tells you to do is put a check valve in and cap a port.

Gotcha, i was just going to suggest the lashway catch can with built in check valves. It would be ideal.

So im guessing you already have a catch can then, ill stop by advanced tonight and find that valve, and let you know. Ill call down to my buddy now and see if he can find it first.

Yeah right now my car is set up just like my picture without the check valve.
