The head gaskets will take it but ls2 heads will lift, what does it means? head gaskets leaks engine running hot when all else is good, ls3 heads are stronger...

throw in some head studs to solve the lift problem I'm running 16-17 lbs with a d1 on my 243 ls2 heads I also had the gaskets but switched them out for the ls9s before I turned the boost up I got mine from sdpc for about 100 for the pair

I think the bore size on ls9 gasket is 4.100, looking to put ls9 gaskets on my gto with a f1 looking to put 20+ psi in mine

Really everything I have seen and heard is that the ls3 head are thinner and the older heads are better for boost

ls3/l92 heads are not a good choice for big boost/cylinder pressure

Same combo I plan to run..

6.0L, 4.030" -11 cc dish wiseco pistons, PRC stage 2.5 317 heads, LS9 head gaskets, ARP head studs, 14 lbs of boost

so I hope it works great..
