Default 4.040 ring pack on a 4.030 piston

i cant get the rings i want for my setup in a 4.030 file fit. they only come in 4.040, 10 thousands too big. could i still run them, i know there will be more to file off.

they sell the rings 0.5 bigger so no gapping required, not sure about 0.10 bigger

yes they will work,just requires more filing

cool thanks guys, i want to run the hell fires in a 1.5/1.5/3mm setup and i cant get a 4.030 file fit. they only come in a 4.040 ductile iron, the 4.030 as plasma moly faced.

Check the end gap on the oil rails, they may need grinding.
