I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but Wow! The hardwork/motivation and amazing talent you have shows. I've read your thread a while back, but spent the last two hours catching up on everything. I may have missed it in the thread, but what do you do for a living (if you don't mind me asking)?

Thanks Novakid! I'm an electrician in the nuclear power industry by trade. I was always a mechanic before, but I got burned out doing that for a living all day, then coming home and building cars, racing etc.

Holidays were great! Thanks. The repairs are all done with the exception of powdercoating the new front driveshaft loop and adding the trans fluid. I will post up some pix soon. I can't wait for the track to open back up!

Hey Frank,

Happy new year to you dude. Do you still have the old pcm and efi live you had a while back? I know you were thinking about selling them as a package deal with the cam but i believe the cam is gone. I'd be interested in taking them off you.

Thanks,
Dave

They are working great so far. I am pretty impressed with the 60's in the 1.3s with 18" wheels. I gotta admit though. I have not adjusted them at all since my initial install. I have very little track time on it so far so time will tell. Seems like shock adjustment has made the biggest difference for me so far.

Hi Dave, sorry, I sold the old pcm and harness a while back.

Not much to report Dave. I have it all back together, but I'm working through figuring out a vibration issue in the drivetrain. Soon as I have it fixed I will be heading to the track

I did finally find the vibration problem. What a fiasco that was. I had the trans out, converter swapped, driveshaft redone, then when I took the rear apart to check the new gears I found one of the axle bearings (9" sealed) with some extra play. They only had 344 miles on them. I pressed a new one on and put it back together. All is good now. LOL, that's the last thing I would have thought.

I don't plan to go back to the track till after Ocean City car cruise. The way my luck runs I don't want to take any chances. I would love to be able to take an 8 second slip to the show though

Before the Ocean City cruise I decided to change up my exhaust a bit. I never really liked the tips too much so I redid them and powdercoated them flat black.

.

Don't let anyone tell you I don't drive this thing! Good thing I put those wipers on there, lol

Ended up being picked by GM Performance for their favorite of the show! What an honor! I still can't believe out of all those bad *** cars they picked mine. The Gm representative that picked it said he seen my on the boardwalk cruise with my 3 kids in the back and loved that fact that I drive it and race it.

Really awesome man! Congrats! Wanted to ask how heavy those rims are? What tires you run on it normally?

Can't remember if you switched it up for the track?

Thanks Dave. They are very heavy. I never weighed them though. Those are the same wheels I use at the track. I want to see how fast I can get it with the 18" wheels first.
