Default Good intercooler for 900whp?

Where do I get good but not very expensive cooler? The Ebay 4" I got is dropping about 4psi at relatively low boost, so I'm thinking about changing it.
What are you guys running for big power?

Just wondering... How do you know its dropping 4psi? Have you put sensors immediately before and after the IC?

Boost gauge, plugged into different spots, without changing boost settings... Also, with wastegate connected pre-IC, boost in manifold drops severely.

What about CXracing coolers? Are they OK?

isnt there some kind of flow rating or formula or something? like xcfm=hp? so you would need the ic to flow a certain amount for a given hp goal.

cheap intercoolers don't give CFM ratings or they are completely BS... The one I got looked fine by specs but turns out to be choking at around 500HP

CXracing is the "ebay" intercooler. I have contacted them about thier twin turbo one asking what CFM it will flow, I got a responce from a chinese email saying 400-600hp. This was a 27x9x3.5 core too.
I ran a cxracing from ebay and never had issues but I never ran more then the wastegate spring (8psi)

Check out treadstone performanace, Ill be getting mine for the FRC from them.

Obviously some people are getting more than 1000HP with CX Racing coolers.
Did you measure pressure drop at 8psi?

thats strange. i've read of quite a few 900-1100hp cars making that power through CXRacing's 24x12x4 ebay intercoolers.

Why dont you just reference everything off the intake side and who cares about what its reading before the intercooler? Unless you're maxing your turbo out to achieve it. The intake is where you want the correct readings anyway.

Because it's very hard to detect big pressure drop or boost leak if you check only one point in the system. You just have no data to compare. I saw abnormal data in the intake, thus I checked pressure in the charge pipes, and concluded that IC most probably is the problem. Thus this thread

How many 1000+ HP guys run CX Racing coolers?

I can see that on cxracing.com site 24x12x4" intercooler is $199. On ebay I see at least 3 sellers (just-intercoolers, cxmotorsports, cxracing) that sell supposedly CXRacing coolers at $100-110.
Are they all the same?

From what I have seen in the past, they are all the same. Bob

Dude, I thought the whole reason you made this thread was because you got a crap IC from ebay.. Just wondering why you think your solution is another ebay IC?
