OK, so i guess its the luck. I have the arps already, and a good fuel system, and a good tuner so I hope it works out.
i'll be using cometic or another hush hush gasket.

it seems now that people have had more knowlege in tunning that this isnt a problem

like Rob said his heads used to warp at over 700rwhp in his old Z
but now is using stock head gaskets and studs and hasnt had that problem with his new build of his Z or formula, both which have more HP.

if regular gaskets and studs can't hold it down, something is wrong...too much timing, not enough octane, too much exhaust backpressure.. anyone else think something like that?

mat your tq number is a little dissapointing..

I was using stock head bolts and Felpro gaskets. With 12psi I had no issues. Tuning is everything.
Now going to ARP studs, o-rings, and stock MLS gaskets. Looking to run 15+psi in one car and 20+psi in the other. If we have any trouble with that we have a backup plan.

Dont you have to use graphite head gaskets with o-rings?

What torque is everybody using? I felt the 70lbs. that ARP says to do is a little light. But thats what I used anyway. Should I look at retorqueing now that its got some miles on it?

L-19 head studs will work.

If you use o rings, a graphite or copper head gasket is a must.

I e-mailed you on the studs?
I have seen many people over 700rwhp push water. sometimes not on the dyno, but as soon as it hit the track it would push a bit.
I have a plan for mine and we shall see what happens.
Thanks guys.

that was my point, its not the power level (at least not yet) that has been the culprit.
