Default 69 Camaro single turbo I'm working on.

I'm building this for a college buddy of mine. The plan is this will be his Power Tour ride this year. Specs on the powertrain:

393ci LS1
ported factory heads
forged rotating assembly
GT4294R turbo
Stainless Works headers
T56 with RPS twin disk
26x12x3" intercooler core

Anyone have insight into what the best way to tie in for turbo water lines would be? I was going to use the heater core for the upper line and something in the block for the lower one. Does anyone sell a block drain plug with a fitting on it?

Also, thoughts on pluming in a cyclone separartor. Pull from the top end and return to the turbo drain with a check valve?

2.5 inch Y into T4 flange

4 inch downpipe

nicely done on the merge. i see you're using a flux core welder, are you planning on having someone else finish it up or just finish it up with that?

i dont have much input on the water lines, other than i dont really think water cooling is necessary.

It's just tacked with a cheap flux core Mig. I ordered a 200A Tig, but it's been stuck in shipping for a while. I'm going over to a coworker's house on Thursday to get it all Tig-ed together. Once that's done I'll put the WG in the middle of the merge and then send it all to QC Coatings for some ceramic coating.

The radiator and intercooler are going in front of the core support. Intercooler will sit just above the fog lights. It's about 31" across so it just fits inside the hideaway headlights. I wanted to run a bigger core and ditch the hideaways, but the owner really digs them.

Killer build. That's a small turbo for the cubes though...

We were hoping it would be a decent compromise since it's a street car and a six speed?

It will be a fun street car for sure! Probably max around 550-600rwhp. Very quick spool.

I'll post dyno numbers when it's done. That's not quite what I was thinking it would put down. I expect the engine alone would do 450+whp.

That turbo will put out more power than that.

It can, but not on that size engine. If you keep the rpm down to 6500 max it will need 85 to 90 lbs of airflow at 14psi.

Now go to the compressor map and plot 14psi and 90 lbs and see how far off the map it is......killer build if you keep the boost down and enjoy driving it...for big power the turbo will choke as the compressor is too small for that killer engine...

Wow, did not realize it was a .60 AR!

There is a TC76 for sale, .96 AR.... that will make some power then!
