Default turbo timing

How much timing do you guys run down low, say 4500 or less?

When at max boost my car is at 15 degrees of timing, but I also leave the line with full boost on the trans brake at 3500 rpm...car just seems sluggish.

Should I try more timing down low for the launch but still ramp it back out before peak TQ to help with the 60's?

my tuner has a ton of timing in mine down low and out of boost.... around 38 degrees out of boost and then when boost starts coming it he pulls timing pretty fast. It may only have 25 degrees or so at 1 - 3 pounds of boost. I hope this helps.

I build boost pretty fast so that isnt the problem, by the time i light up the 2nd bulb and hit the TB i have bull boost in 1 sec probably

i just cant figure out why it wont launch and was seeing if this might be a cause...My car made 562rwhp on 9lbs and since i leave on 9lbs off the TB i figure it should do alot better than 1.6x 60's compared to what alot of others on here pull off

I understand now.... if it is hooking up, that does seem real soft. what does it flash to when you release the TB and what gear/tire/trans is in the car?

yea, not spinning at all. I dont know what it flashed to, once i stage i dont look at the tach lol, just hold on and shift.

Its a fmvb 4l80, 28in tall tire, and 3.54 gears.

I plan on buying hptuners this year so i can log exactly what happens on every run to help get this thing faster and faster.
